I had the pleasure of hosting my first Sunday Supper at Establish near the beach. it was alovely affair with bright happy faces, laughing, eating lots and just plain having fun. 

The menu consisted of. 

Beer Starter: fieldworks Baja hammock ale

with: Deviled Eggs topped with jamon Serrano  

Pickled Stuff and Roasted Almonds from my families farm in Le Grand, California. The Huepel Family Farm

 

Next on to the Main: 

wine: dehasa gago a Tempranillo brought to us by telmo Rodriguez. An organic wine from Spain of the Toro varietal. Grown in bushels and picked by hand, it paired nicely with the.

There's this place I like to go.

Most lunch hours we all go to a bar near the house to have Meńu. Which means you get a healthy serving of food and vino with sifone for 3.75. Damn life is good and so is the food on all of these plates. You have to order the traditional items to endure for greatness, that's the trick.

There is something very comforting about 

having regular spots for breakfast lunch and dinner and everything in between.

One lazy Saturday afternoon Vera and I wondered to the country side, to the house we lived in last year. To dine with her lovely grand mother Anne and a friend of hers Magdalena. He grandmother is a phenomenal cook and a very wise and interesting artist:

They shared magic witch remedies  with us and told us stories of the golden days. they've known one another for the past 40 years and often lunch together. After lunch we headed to the beach and let the ladies nap.

This lovely Monday Poli took a few of us out on her Llaüt. We beach hoped, enjoyed the cool breeze and ended the excursion with a big lunch feast at s'arenal

Monday has slowly became the best day of the week. Todo el Mundo tienen los Lunes libre and it is the best! We bbq, we swim in sacred waters and enjoy that one day like no other days will ever exsist. This Monday we passed such a great day, even better since Vera had it free as well.

We took a small drive to a friends oasis, her name is Aisha. She lives in the middle no where like everything good in this island. There we bbqed with a few French men and some wild ladies. What a treat!

I bought a bbq yesterday. I'd say this will be re best purchase of the summer. We bbqed at our friend Fernandos house, which sits next to the port and had a grand time. Showed these spainards how the Americans handle shit.

 Dinner is served!   it tasted better than it looks .... Ha we had dorado stuffed with time, asparagus and cebollitas a la plancha, my famous enough basque sheep headers bread and a salad the consisted of butter lettuce, radishes, avocado and some secret sauce!!!

 And for dessert. We had, pears, some yellow nectarine, bleu cheese, manchego, a goats cheese and to top it off tourone of almond and chocolate. And some "special cake" provided by our lovely Argentinian friend

It's way to hot here to even imagine cooking in our tiny ass kitchen! So a little improve works wonders. I can't wait for our next feast!!! Stay tuned
